Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. This was a 4 percent increase over the year before and 71,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in August 2022. It is thrilling to once again see an rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching the record-breaking levels of 2019 stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. The United States is our top market for inbound tourism for Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we had record-breaking number of tourists from Israel entering Israel each month. We are extremely happy to witness an improvement in the trend and expect it to continue throughout the months and years to come.
